Most countries tie the day to a particular Sunday rather than a fixed date, so it moves from year to year. For 2027:

• Sunday 14 February — Norway (second Sunday of February; in 2027 it coincides with Valentine's Day).
• Sunday 7 March — the UK and Ireland. Mothering Sunday is the fourth Sunday of Lent, exactly three weeks before Easter, so it moves with Easter every year.
• Sunday 2 May — Spain, Portugal, Hungary and Lithuania (first Sunday of May).
