A tiny star of coloured cubic zirconia sits on the earlobe, and it is the shape, not the size, that gets it noticed. There are six colours to choose from: pink, violet, green, blue, red and black, from soft and romantic to bold. At 4 mm the studs are small enough for a child's ear or a second piercing and neat enough for the office. They fasten with push-backs. The platinum plating sits on a hypoallergenic medical alloy that is nickel-free, does not tarnish and does not darken from water. A small gift that is easy to get right.

How to measure your finger

Measure a ring you already have

Take a ring that fits the finger you want to wear it on. Use a ruler to measure straight across the inside — that is the inner diameter in millimetres, and it is also the ROTAS69 size. Enter it in the calculator.

Measure your finger

Wrap a narrow strip of paper around the base of your finger (not over the knuckle). Mark where it overlaps, straighten it and measure the length in millimetres — that is the circumference.
